She has spoken publicly about her involvement with the Church of Scientology and appeared in the 2006 Scientology music video "United," alongside fellow members Jenna Elfman, Isaac Hayes, and Erika Christensen.
On May 8, 1994, Bell married actor and production assistant Adam Beason, whom she met in 1992 while filming "Death Becomes Her." The couple had two children together: a daughter, Gemma, born on April 16, 2003, and a son, Ronan, born on August 21, 2010. After 17 years of marriage, they separated in 2011 and finalized their divorce shortly thereafter.
