She is the widow of Jorge Larrea and controls 36% of Grupo Mexico which is the world's 7th largest copper producer. Her family also owns the biggest railroad business and oil-drilling company in Mexico. In 1999 Grupo acquired Southern Copper's parent company Asarco for $2.2 billion.
