"how to play guitar for beginners" step 1 -Okay -- to tune your guitar the easiest way is to buy a small and fairly cheap electronic tuner like this....a little gizmo that clips to the head of your guitar -- the advantage of buying one of these is that you don't have to plug anything in -- it just works from the vibration of the neck and head. Because its on a swivel its very easy to turn it round so you can see the dial clearly. When you play the top E string the letter E should show here on the tuner. If it is a different letter such as D or F then retune the string until E shows. How to play guitar for beginners step 2 - Then fine tune the string until the dot shows in the exact middle of the scale How to play guitar for beginners step 3 -- Repeat this for 2nd string B, third string G, 4th string D, 5th A, sixth E How to play guitar for beginners step 4 -- repeat this process as the altered tensions may have bowed the neck; keep repeating until all strings are perfectly in tune - and you've completed the first lesson of how to play guitar for beginners!
