Drought 'will push up food prices'

Lack of rainfall in eastern England will push up food prices this summer, farmers have warned. Andrew Alston, of the Broadland Agricultural Water Abstractors Group, believes the government should draw up a drought plan to deal with the situation. Water levels have fallen over the past month - and that's before any irrigation of crops, he says.
