Maria Sharapova Vs. Mirjana Lucic - Roland Garros 2011 1st Round Highlights

It took Maria only 56 minutes to advance to the 2nd round of Roland Garros as she defeated Mirjana Lucic of Croatia 6-3 6-0.

In the seventh game after a very close first set Maria broke Lucic and uped the tempo as she takes the next two games and wins the set 6-3 on a cross court winner.

Maria was totally in control in the second set as she continued the fine form from her title run in Rome as she didn't drop a game and won the match when Lucic hit a backhand long.

In the 2nd round to be played on Thursday, Maria will be up against Caroline Garcia of France, Maria has never played the local favourite before.

In the WTA rankings, Maria provisionally moves up to No.6 with 4421 points.
