Chucky To Return In New 'Child's Play' Movies

All you fans of the 1980's horror classic may not want to when you hear this: recent reports announce that there are two new Child's Play projects in the works. According to movie hole At a reunion panel at the Mad Monster Party horror & sci-fi convention, cast and crew from the original film confirmed both a remake and a spin-off are in development. Writer Don Mancini and Producer David Kirschner have wanted to reboot the franchise for several years. Fortunately for the fans, Don Mancini will return to pen the screenplay and take on directing duties to breathe new life into the world he created almost twenty years ago. The film will be a darker and scarier retelling of the original film, but one that will offer new twists and turns. The release date is set for 2014. The spin-off of the original is tentatively titled "Revenge of Chucky" and will involve Chucky's immediate family. The main man himself, Brad Dourif, confirmed that he will reprise his role as the evil doll from hell in both projects but has not yet seen a script for the remake.
