Under Creative Commons license, with attribution to the National Security Archive...Film depicts a nuclear war alert exercise conducted at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The unlikely scenario portrays a suicidal bomber attack (along with a few missiles) by the Soviet Union on the U.S., which responds with massive nuclear retaliation, launching hundreds of ICBMs and cruise missiles and followed up by B52 strikes.
