Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories Walkthrough Part 1: VS Yugi and Tristan
This is Part 1 of my playthrough of Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories for the Nintendo Game Boy Color. In this part, we get introduced to the game and duel Yugi and Tristan. All of the First Tier Duelists pretty much run an identical set of low leveled, low powered monsters, although with the exception of Tristan, they all have a sort of trump card in their Deck. Yugi, for example, has used gotten out Dark Magician on me before and has used Dark Hole on me before. Tristan is easy enough to beat. All of his monsters are weak, and you can overpower him easily with the starter deck without even having to fuse. Tristan is packing Relinquished in his deck, but don't worry, he, in the over 100 times I've duel him, has never used it's ability to gain control of one of your monsters. He just uses it for defense. Yugi isn't much of a threat either, but you have to be careful not to let him get out too many mosnters. His monsters are all weak and don't pass the 500 mark, and he doesn't fuse, but as I mentioned above, you have to be careful of how many monsters he has out because he is packing Dark Magician, as well as Gaia the Fierce Knight, and Dark Magician Girl, who only needs Tribute to be brought out. He also has Dark Hole, as I mentioned, which can clear the field of your assembled forces (Though it will do the same to Yugi's as well.). He also has Mooyan Curry, which will recover his Life Points by a very negligible 200. All three of his high-powered Tribute monsters are of the Shadow alignment, so make sure you have a Dream monster in reserve just in case you need it to take them out. I apologize for the sound lag in this video. That's what happens when you use VisualBoyAdvance's recording features. I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! or any of the other materials used in this video. This is a nonprofit video made for entertainment purposes only.
