Modernism has a superhero: Introducing Fitzsu Society Girl

Posted: Mar 2, 2012
Description

Please join Fitz and Su this weekend at the A+D Museum in Los Angeles Saturday, March 10th, for a fundraising auction featuring Fitzsu's wearable art ensemble, Society Girl, the modern superhero. In the company of notable contributors to the wearable art auction such as Richard Meier, Steven Ehrlich, Marmol Radziner, BMW, Jonathan Adler, John Baldessari, Karim Rashid, Trina Turk and many more, the night promises to be full of amusing and surprising eye candy. Inspired by the Triadic Ballet, the Colbert Nation, Edith Piaf, and a girl named Su, Fitzsu Society Girl asks the question, "It's the twenty-first century why are you not living like it?" Society Girl is the symbol of a democratized design and society. Her mission is to bring entertaining to the masses, whether it is afternoon tea or serving a proper 3 course meal. Fear not, for Society Girl is as effective in a social setting as Wyatt Earp was in the OK Corral. The Tea Kettle Helmet whistle works via a customized tubing system weaving in and out of the kettle. The helmet also features a flashing LED light powered by a battery. The Tea Kettle Helmet is made by Fitz from a Michael Graves Alessi Tea Kettle. The functioning Tea Time Watch face can be removed to change the batteries. The watch is made by Fitzsu from a Mono cup and saucer and an Alessi Record watch designed by Achille Castiglioni. The cape was sewn by Su and is made from Maharam fabric designed by Hella Jongerius. The Spooning necklace is made by Fitzsu using a Carl Dau chain from Berlin and the following spoons: the mono C2 by Ute Schniedermann, Pott 2741 by Ralph Kramer, Sambonet Hannah, Stelton Magnum by Don Wallance, Alessi Knifeforkspoon by Jasper Morrison, and Alessi Rundes Modell by Josef Hoffmann. Show your support for Society Girl with a comment or LIKE and don't forget to attend The 10th Anniversary Gala and Auction of wearable art for the A+D Museum in Los Angeles CA. CELEBRATE A+D 2012 will take place on the evening of March 10, 2012 from 7:00 - 11:00PM at the museum, 6032 Wilshire Blvd. Come see Fitzsu Society Girl LIVE as she walks down the runway and then home to the highest bidder!
