In 1960, Schwarzenegger's football coach took him to the local gym where he picked up his first barbell and by the age of fourteen Schwarzenegger decided he wanted to become a professional bodybuilder. His father wanted Schwarzenegger to become a police officer and his mother wanted for him to attend a trade school but the Arnold knew he was destined for body building greatness.
