Former Texas governor and U.S.A. president George W. Bush has a net worth of $35 million. Bush was born in New Haven Connecticut to George H.W. and Barbara Bush. Bush relocated to Houston Texas where he remained until high school when he attended Phillips Academy in Massachusetts. After earning a Bachelors of Arts from Yale University, Bush joined the Texas Air National Guard. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School before deciding to run for the House of Representatives in 1978, which he lost. Throughout the 1980s, Bush developed several independent oil companies, first known as Bush Exploration before merging with Spectrum 7, assisted and advised his father through a successful campaign for presidency in 1988, and bought shares in the Texas Rangers baseball team. Bush returned to his own political pursuits in 1994 when he ran successfully for governor of Texas. Four years later, Bush made history by becoming the first Texas governor to be elected for two consecutive terms under the newly amended four-year term extension. During his governorship Bush formally announced his candidacy for President of the USA, which he won in the 2000 presidential race against opponent, former vice president Al Gore. Bush was re-elected for a second term during the 2004 election against Massachusetts Senator John Kerry. Upon the end of his presidency in 2008, Bush returned to a low-key life in Texas. Post-presidency projects include speaking engagements, writing a book and establishing the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund with former president Bill Clinton.
