Stamos got an early big break after he played the character Blackie Parrish in the long-running TV series "General Hospital" starting in 1984. The nomination for a Daytime Emmy Award for his debut turn paved the way for John Stamos' future success. After he starred in several minor TV projects, he landed the role of Jesse Katsopolis on the hit ABC sitcom Full House which ran from 1987 to 1995. Once the show ended, Stamos went on to act in a great number of sitcoms and made-for-TV movies including "Glee" and "ER". In September 2009, he started playing the role of Albert in the Broadway revival of Bye Bye Birdie.
