Once he took his Bachelor's degree from Shenzhen University, Zhang Zhidong went on to attend South China University of Technology to complete his Master's degree. Next, he united with Ma Huateng to found the Internet giant Tencent.
The two currently serve as the chief technology officers of the company. Also, Ma holds 10% of Tencent's stakes whereas Zhidong owns 3% of the total stakes. Following a major rise in Tencent's shares, Zhang Zhidong's wealth swelled from around $5 billion in 2014 to over $20 billion by 2020.
