Zhang Guiping is a Chinese real estate developer who has a net worth of $1.1 billion. Zhang Guiping joined the billionaires' club as the founder and President of Suning Group, a real estate developer with headquarters in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Having graduated in Chinese literature from the Nanjing Normal University, he started his career working in a cloth factory named Haowei Group. It was in 1990 that Zhang united with his old brother Zhang Guiping in setting up a shop in Nanjing, selling air conditioning and related products.
However, he quit from this business to deal with real estate. It took him some 15 years to build up the Suning Group of today. The real estate developer has been fanning out across China, and now has even got projects in Shanghai, Anhui Province, Jilin Province, Yunnan Province and the Pearl River Delta area.
