What is Dan Wilks' Net Worth?

Dan Wilks is an American businessman who has a net worth of $1.5 billion. Dan Wilks is the co-founder and co-owner of Wilks Masonry, Inc., a family-owned business that offers clients high-quality craftsmanship. Operating in Texas and Oklahoma, the company has built an extensive portfolio completing various projects spanning from minor renovation jobs to multi-million-dollar new construction complexes. Dan Wilks and his brother Farris followed in their father's footsteps becoming masons themselves, and eventually they founded their own company. The two started Wilks Masonry, Inc. in 1995. Dan took the position of Vice President and estimator in the firm, while Farris was President.

While at the company, Dan negotiated with contractors to bid and bargain new projects. At the same time, he oversaw the daily financial transactions and operations. In 2002 the sibling duo set up Frac Tech, and thus branched out into the hydraulic fracturing and oil field service industry. Some nine years later, they decided to sell their nearly 70% combined interest at Frac Tech (now FTS International Services, LLC) to a partnership lead by Temasek Holdings of Singapore for $3.5 billion. So, they have been buying ranches across the west recently. In 2011, the brothers bought Tom Siebel's 62,000-acre N Bar Ranch in Montana for $45 million. Furthermore, they picked up almost 300,000 acres in Montana and 36,000 acres in Idaho.
