What is Dr. Leonard Hochstein's net worth?

Dr. Leonard "Lenny" Hochstein is a prominent Miami-based plastic surgeon and real estate developer who has a net worth of $150 million. Dr. Leonard Hochstein has been practicing plastic surgery for over 20 years. Lenny is one of the most well-known and successful plastic surgeons in Florida. He specializes in breast enhancements, facial rejuvenation, body contouring, and various other aesthetic procedures. He also owns a separate business called Hochstein MedSpa.

Lenny was formerly married to Lisa Hochstein. They married in 2009. Lisa became somewhat well-known as a cast member of "The Real Housewives of Miami," which ran from 2012 to 2013.

A significant portion of Lenny Hochstein's net worth is a residential property on Star Island in Miami. Much more detail about this home can be found in the "Real Estate" section below. Long story short, today his Star Island home is easily worth over $70 million based on similar recent sales, perhaps closer to $100 million.

Real Estate

Lenny owns the 30,000-square-foot commercial building where his practice is located. Based on comparable recent sales, the building is likely worth $20 million.

In 2004, Lisa and Lenny paid $4.5 million for a 9,944-square-foot home in the Sunset Islands. They put the seven-bedroom, six-bathroom estate, known as "Palacio del Eden," on the market for $10.75 million in 2012. They ultimately accepted $10.1 million in August 2015.

In 2012, Lenna purchased an eight-bedroom, seven-bathroom home on Star Island for $7.6 million. The home was purchased out of foreclosure at a very big discount. At the time of purchase, the property featured a white neo-classical mansion that was built in 1925 by a famed Miami architect named Walter DeGarmo. After taking ownership, the Hochsteins had an engineer evaluate the structure. Upon consulting with the engineer, the couple decided the old mansion was not salvageable, and they would be better off razing it and starting from scratch. Unfortunately, this decision was not well-received by the members of the Miami Design Preservation League, especially after the Hochsteins revealed their plans to replace the mansion with a 20,000-square-foot new mansion. A bitter legal battle ensued with lawsuits and counter-lawsuits back and forth.

The legal fight was so intense that a neighbor on Star Island named John Jansheski decided to radically change his own plans for a property 15 houses down the block. Jansheski was so spooked by the Hochsteins' legal war that instead of razing the 90-year-old mansion he had recently purchased, he decided to physically uproot it by the foundation and move it 150 feet to the back of the property so he could build a new mansion in its place.

In the end, the Hochsteins were victorious in their battle, but not until after Lenny secured approval from nearly every other homeowner on Star Island and submitted evidence that showed the former structure was totally unsafe. They were able to raze the former mansion located at 42 Star Island Drive in February 2013.

The 18,000-square-foot home they ended up building could be worth over $70 million today based on comparable Star Island sales. On an episode of "Real Housewives," Lisa claimed the home could be worth $80 million. She may not have been wrong. In December 2021, a nearby home sold for $75 million. In January 2022, John Jansheski listed his two-mansion property for $90 million.

In September 2023, Lenna paid $6.8 million for a home on Miami's Belle Meade Island. He demolished the former mansion and, as of this writing, is constructing a 15,000-square-foot mansion that will have an estimated finished value of $30 million.

Early Life

Dr. Leonard "Lenny" Hochstein was born on June 18, 1966, in Moscow, Russia, before immigrating to the United States at a young age. He was raised primarily in Louisiana, where he excelled academically from an early age. Hochstein attended Louisiana State University, where he distinguished himself as a top student and ultimately graduated as valedictorian of his class.

His academic success paved the way for a career in medicine, and he went on to pursue specialized training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. After completing medical school and his residency, Hochstein moved to Miami to complete a prestigious plastic surgery fellowship under Dr. Ralph Millard, one of the most respected figures in the field and a pioneer in modern reconstructive techniques. This training proved foundational in shaping his technical expertise and reputation.

Career

Following the completion of his training and board certification, Dr. Hochstein established his own practice in Miami, launching what would become the Hochstein MedSpa and surgical center. From the outset, he positioned his practice at the high end of the cosmetic surgery market, catering to affluent clients seeking premium procedures and results.

Over time, his practice grew into one of the most prominent plastic surgery operations in South Florida. Known particularly for breast augmentation procedures, Hochstein built a brand around his work, eventually earning the nickname "Boob God" within both the medical community and popular culture.

Today, he operates a state-of-the-art plastic surgery facility in Miami, offering a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Over the course of his career, he has performed more than 10,000 surgeries, contributing to his reputation as one of the busiest and most experienced surgeons in his specialty.

In addition to his medical work, Hochstein has made multiple appearances in media and entertainment. His first exposure to reality television came in 2004, when he was featured on the Bravo series "Miami Slice," a show inspired by the popularity of FX's "Nip/Tuck" that followed the lives of Miami-based plastic surgeons.

Years later, he returned to reality television alongside his then-wife Lisa as part of "The Real Housewives of Miami," where his professional success, personal life, and lavish lifestyle became recurring storylines. These appearances significantly increased his public profile and helped further promote his practice to a broader audience.

Nicky Jam Lawsuit

In November 2021, the Hochsteins filed a lawsuit against musician Nicky Jam. In the lawsuit, the couple accused the musician of providing a "fraudulent" check for $20,000 as a security deposit to use their Star Island mansion for a music video shoot. The lawsuit claimed that the musician failed to seek the proper local permits to shoot the video, which caused them to be in hot water with the city of Miami, potentially preventing them from filming episodes of the rebooted "Real Housewives of Miami" at the home. The Hochsteins reportedly had to spend around $17,000 to square things up with the city of Miami. That should have been covered by the $20,000 deposit, but the check apparently bounced.

Personal Life

Leonard married Lisa Marie McCallum, now known as Lisa Hochstein, in 2009 at the couple's palatial Miami mansion. Lisa was not Leonard's first Playmate girlfriend, but there's no question that she was quite the catch for Dr. Hochstein. Lenny is 15 years older than Lisa.

The couple struggled for several years to conceive a child. Lisa suffered three miscarriages and tried in vitro fertilization four times before opting for surrogacy. The Hochsteins welcomed son Logan on July 3, 2015, and daughter Elle on September 16, 2019.

Lenny reportedly became engaged to his girlfriend Katharina Mazepa sometime in either 2023 or 2024.

Lisa Hochstein Divorce Settlement

Lenny filed for divorce from Lisa in May 2022, initiating what quickly became a prolonged and highly publicized legal battle. According to court filings, the couple had signed a prenuptial agreement prior to their 2009 marriage, which ultimately shaped the financial framework of the separation.

As the proceedings unfolded, Lisa alleged in court that Lenny was "financially strangling" her by cutting off access to cash and limiting her to a credit card with a $3,000 spending cap. Lenny strongly denied those claims and responded publicly:

"Lisa uses these court filings to portray me poorly in the press. The fact is that I pay for everything for the children separately. Lisa still lives in the home with the children without a single expense," he said. "Recently, she has started abusing the credit card to buy things for herself. Last month, the bill was nearly $60,000. This month, she continued the abuse, including purchasing jewelry and clothing for herself, which placed the card over the limit just prior to my vacation."

After more than two years of legal disputes, the divorce was finalized in November 2024. Under the terms of the settlement, Lenny agreed to pay Lisa $15,000 per month in child support for their two children, with that amount scheduled to decrease to $10,000 per month when their son reaches adulthood. He is also responsible for covering the children's additional expenses.

As part of her post-divorce transition, Lisa signed a multi-year lease in September 2023 for a 5,600-square-foot luxury condominium in Miami featuring five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. The monthly rent is approximately $32,000, with Lenny reportedly contributing $17,000 per month toward the cost.

Lisa's 2026 Arrest

In April 2026, Lisa Hochstein became the subject of a criminal investigation tied to allegations that emerged during the height of the couple's divorce proceedings. Authorities charged Lisa with one felony count of interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications.

Prosecutors allege that between March 12 and March 31, 2023, Lisa and her then-boyfriend, tech entrepreneur Jody Glidden, unlawfully placed a recording device inside Lenny's vehicle in order to monitor his private conversations. According to investigators, the device captured numerous recordings, including conversations involving personal contacts and professional matters.

Glidden was arrested in early April 2026 and entered a not guilty plea. On April 15, 2026, Lisa voluntarily surrendered to authorities in Miami-Dade County. She was booked on the charge and released the same day on her own recognizance.

Her legal team has argued that the case is being improperly handled as a criminal matter, maintaining that it stems from a broader family court dispute related to the divorce. The case remains ongoing and represents a significant escalation in the already contentious aftermath of the Hochsteins' separation.
