Arthur Levinson Net Worth: Arthur Levinson is an American businessman who has a net worth of $100 million. Best known for being the Chairman of Apple Inc., Levinson is also the current CEO of Calico, a Google venture, and the Chairman of Genentech, a biotechnology corporation. Born Arthur D. Levinson on March 31, 1950 in Seattle, Washington, he took his Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington in 1972 and five years later completed his PhD in biochemistry from Princeton University. After spending some time working at the Department of Microbiology at the University of California, San Francisco, he joined Genentech in 1980. By 1989, he became the company's Vice President of Research Technology and eventually he landed the post of CEO that he performed from 1995 until 2009. Aside from the above, Levinson now serves on the board of directors of F. Hoffmann-La Roche, NGM Biopharmaceuticals, Amyris Biotechnologies and the Broad Institute. Furthermore, Dr. Levinson sits on several other Boards, one of the Scientific Consultants of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and other of the California Institute for Quantitative Biomedical Research, as well as the Advisory Council for the Princeton University Department of Molecular Biology and on the Advisory Council for the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics.
