After graduating, Hauschka went to North Carolina State for graduate school. With one year of eligibility remaining, he joined the Wolfpack football team and went 25 for 25 on extra points and 16 for 18 on field goals. Steven Hauschka was an undrafted free agent in 2008 and was eventually signed by the Minnesota Vikings. Steven Hauschka has also played for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives. In September 2011, Steven Hauschka was picked up off waivers by the Seattle Seahawks. In week 10 of that season he tied the Seattle record for most field goals in a game with five.
