Did Jennifer Lopez Cancel Her Million Dollar NYE Gig To Spend Time With Drake?

New Year's Eve is a time for reflection on the year that's about to come to an end, celebration, and maybe most importantly; time with people you love. But for many celebrities, commitments to end-of-year New Year's Eve celebrations don't allow them to enjoy bringing in the New Year with the people they love the most. Well, one celeb has decided to forfeit a lot of money, and the reason may be in order to spend New Year's Eve with one, a fellow musician 17 years her junior.

Jennifer Lopez decided earlier this week to cancel a New Year's Eve show that she was originally slated to perform at E11even nightclub in Miami. According to her representative, she canceled the show as a result of needing "personal and family time." Sources say that the show would have netted the 47-year-old "Let's Get Loud" songstress a cool million dollar payday.

Lopez's cancellation is understandable though, because she has been working nonstop this year. In addition to wrapping up filming for the second season of the NBC drama Shades of Blue, she also finished the first year of her All I Have Las Vegas residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. On top of that, the Bronx, New York native recently purchased a new house in Bel-Air.

In addition, her 2017 isn't looking any less hectic than 2016. She will continue her Las Vegas residency through June 11, and will also be an executive producer on NBC's World of Dance, an upcoming dance competition show. On top of that, she also plans to release an album produced by her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and will star in NBC's live musical Bye Bye Birdie.

Now comes the juicy part of the story. Drake recently attended one of Lopez's Las Vegas shows earlier this week, and shared an Instagram selfie afterwards. Drake and Lopez were also spotted in Hollywood on a date this week, in which Drizzy rented out the entire restaurant. Sources say that they have been spending a lot of time together recently and the relationship is heating up. So did Jenny cancel her show to spend time with Drake? We can only make assumptions at this point.

And as for who will be taking Lopez's spot to perform at the Miami nightclub on New Year's Eve? None other than Nicki Minaj.
