If A Private Yacht Is Not Good Enough For You, Why Not Try A Private Floating Island???

Renting out luxurious private yachts seems to be a popular thing to do among the filthy rich, but now there is an even more ridiculous option available. So what can be better than renting a private yacht? How about renting a floating private island!

Kokomo Ailand is the latest creation of Migaloo Private Submarines, and is said to be part yacht and part private island. It can be described as a semi-submersed vessel with all of the luxuries of a four star resort. This "floating private habitat" has a lot of incredible features, including a penthouse suite, a beach club, a glass bottom Jacuzzi, and two elevators.

So far, nobody has purchased Kokomo Ailand, but it could end up being a good investment for someone who can afford it. You could rent this thing out for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and live on it while it wasn't being used by other millionaires.

The floating island is actually a seaworthy vessel and can go up to about nine miles (eight knots) per hour. This thing is incredible, and has to be seen to be believed. Kokomo also has a jungle deck, waterfalls, vertical gardens, palm trees, a gym, beauty salons, a massage parlor, and a garden deck. The beach deck is likely to be a favorite. It comes with multiple swimming pools, underwater dining, an outdoor cinema, barbecues, and even a shark feeding station for those feeling adventurous (and stupid)!

The island even has private balconies and a VIP area. Kokomo Ailand doesn't stop there, though – it also has its own helipad to allow a helicopter to land and take off when discretion is a must. There is no set price yet for the island, but one can imagine it will certainly cost millions to own and hundreds of thousands to use. If you are wondering what kind of person would be interested in something like this, how about Magic Johnson? Over the summer, the Hall of Famer spent more than half a million a week to rent out a private yacht in France. How about Redskins owner Dan Snyder, who bought his own super yacht for $70 million back in 2011?

If they are smart, Kokomo Ailand will partner with the Beach Boys, who famously sang "There's a place called Kokomo. That's where you want to go to get away from it all. Bodies in the sand, tropical drink melting in your hand…" Those lyrics can come to life along with your wildest dreams if the price is right!
