There's been a lot of talk lately about the 1%. Who they are, how they got so wealthy, what power they wield, etc. They are the halves and the rest of us are the have nots – well to an extent. There's a big difference between the 1% and the 99%. We thought it would be interesting to take a look at the median incomes and the cost of living in each state and calculate how much someone who lives there would have to earn to be considered part of the 1% in their state (and the District of Columbia).
