Ryan Seacrest's Home: New Home, New Woman, New Gig

By on April 4, 2012 in ArticlesCelebrity Homes

Ryan Seacrest parlayed a strong career in radio, into a television-hosting career that rivals only Dick Clark in its level of success.  He is most widely recognized for his hosting work on the popular reality competition series, "American Idol", and serves as the host of the "American Top 40" on the radio.  He has also hosted multiple awards shows, red carpet events, and New York City's New Year's Eve celebrations.  He began adding producing credits to his resume in the early 2000s, with such reality series as "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", "The Shahs of Sunset", and his home series, "American Idol".  In addition to his success in the entertainment business, he has also been relatively successful with various ladies of Hollywood, and has dated Teri Hatcher and Sheryl Crow, among others.  His personal life has often received as much coverage as the programming he was hired to host.  Recently, he has made headlines due to the announcement that he will be part of the news team covering the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.  It is his first attempt at sports coverage and it is a huge platform upon which to sink or swim.  During his bachelor days, when he first reached his current level of success, he purchased the former home of Kevin Costner, and named it Casa di Pace (House of Peace).

The $11.5 million, 8,172 square foot home, houses five bedrooms and four bathrooms.  After buying the house in 2006, he completely renovated it, giving it a slightly more modern and brighter feel than it had with its previous owner.  The grounds also include a tennis court, a motor court for multiple cars, a gym, and a massive swimming pool.  The house itself sports lots of windows, high ceilings, wood floors, and working fireplaces.  Very quickly after redecorating, however, he decided to sell his home, asking $14.95 million for it, and including the nearby guesthouse in the number of available bedrooms and bathrooms.  This move to sell is largely attributed to his relationship with dancer/actress/singer Julianne Hough, with whom he is now thoroughly attached and with whom he is now shacked up in a $5.6 million property.  Here's hoping his relationship is as successful as his career has been.
