Jessica Simpson's House: Add a Baby and Subtract a House

By on May 29, 2013 in ArticlesCelebrity Homes

Jessica Simpson often appeared a little "dense" (let's face it – a lot "dense") when she was co-starring on her own MTV reality series with then husband, Nick Lachey.    The pretty blonde pop starlet's seemingly random musings spelled ratings gold for the series when it aired initially, but eventually audiences seemed to grow tired of the pair, and the show was cancelled after three seasons.  The couple filed for divorce just 9 months after the series ended.  In addition to appearing on the reality series, she has also released seven Top 40 hits and sold 40 million records worldwide.  Her most recent album was 2010's "Happy Christmas".  Though her three seasons of reality television were rather uneven, she went on to appear in a number of other productions, including the film version of "The Dukes of Hazzard", and on such shows as, "I Get That a Lot" and "Entourage".  In 2009, she launched her own fashion line, and she is currently a judge on the series, "Fashion Star".  Of late, she has stepped away from her recording career to focus on fashion and raising her ever-growing family.  This past week, she joined a seeming trend in Hollywood, selling off property, just as you prepare to have another child.

Jessica Simpson's house in Beverly Hills is 5,500 square feet, and contains five bedrooms and six bathrooms.  The two-story home features gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, a fireplace, and a laundry room. In addition to the five bedrooms, Jessica Simpson's house also contains a sizable living room, a dining room, a breakfast nook, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a patio, a den, and a family room.  Out back, Jessica Simpson's house sports ample yard space, a heated pool, and a 2-car garage.  She is asking $7.995 million for the large, yet cozy, structure, which is quite a bit more than she paid for it.  She may sound numb on television, but when it comes to selling property, she's clearly got a head on her shoulders.
