Alex Rodriguez clearly has some issues with settling down, at least as far as housing goes. His 10-year, $275 million contract with the New York Yankees, insures that he'll be relatively stationary career-wise for most of this decade. However, every time he buys a new property, he remodels it, sells it, and moves on. It's difficult to decide whether that is his way of satisfying wanderlust, or if that's just good business sense. Either way, he's done it again. After turning a hefty profit on the sale of his Manhattan condo, and selling another mansion for $47 million last year, he began construction on a stunning new home in Miami Beach. The mansion was meant to be a love-nest getaway spot for Mr. Rodriguez, and now ex-girlfriend, Cameron Diaz. When the relationship went the way of the dodo, his interest in the property apparently went with it. However, construction did not reach completion until this year. It is only now, almost a year after the breakup, that the house has been put on the market.
Alex Rodriguez's house in Miami Beach is a sprawling nine-bedroom, 13-bath structure. The building faces 275 feet of beachfront, and is surrounded by multiple trees, and landscaped greenery. The grounds also sport a pool, two docks, a balcony that runs the length of the house, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Alex Rodriguez's house is two stories tall, and features incredibly high ceilings, hardwood floors, a gym, a batting cage (naturally), and a rooftop deck. There is also a private theater and an outdoor kitchen for entertaining. At $38 million, Alex Rodriguez's house carries a hefty price tag. However, there is probably some rich New York Yankees fan out there who will snap it up, and make A-Rod an even wealthier man.
