Mariah Carey's Car: A New Mercedes Benz SLK

By on May 16, 2012 in ArticlesCelebrity Cars

Check out Mariah Carey's car! Pop singer Mariah Carey has a brand new car, courtesy of her generous husband, comedian and America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon. Although the car has a tasteful black paint job, there's still a little bit of Mariah Carey flavor in the form of pink embroidered "M"'s on the headrests, which presumably stand for "Mariah" (or maybe "Money"? Probably "Mariah" though).

The newest model Mercedes SLK-class is the R172. It's just the latest in a long line of luxury vehicles manufactured by Mercedes in the SLK line since its debut in 1996. It has a host of features that truly earn its reputation as one of the best luxury cars on the market, including a "Vario Roof" (which is a special two piece metal folding roof) and the impressively named "Magic Sky Control," which is a glass panel in the roof of the car that can change from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button.

It figures that Cannon can afford such a lavish present for his wife – in addition to his work in front of the camera and microphone as a TV host singer, actor, and comedian, Cannon is also the Chairman in charge of development at TeenNick, an off-shoot of Nickelodeon, the channel that gave Cannon his start.

Not that Mariah Carey needs much help in the finances department – she has a net worth of $500 million, accumulated over many years of success in the music industry! So suffice it to say that she will probably be able to get Nick Cannon something just as nice when the occasion warrants it.

The two have a pretty long-lasting marriage (at least by Hollywood standards), having been married back in 2008 in a surprise ceremony after having been dating for about six weeks. Since then, the pair have had a set of twins, born in 2011 – Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon.
