Mark Cuban Muscially Roasts Donald Trump On 'Colbert'

Donald J. Trump is now officially the Republican nominee for president of the United States of America, and in accepting that position, he must know that the amount of public attention and scrutiny he's received so far will pale in comparison to what's coming between now and November. But, he may not have expected the kind of attention he got during The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's live Republican National Convention coverage, courtesy of fellow billionaire Mark Cuban.

Of course, Cuban himself might take issue with being described as a "fellow billionaire" of Donald Trump, since in contrast to Trump's mysterious wealth, there's little doubt that Cuban has legitimate billionaire credentials to back up his public persona. That contrast provided some good fodder for jokes during the segment, entitled "Mark Cuban Takes The Gloves Off: Donald Trump Edition," which featured Cuban delivering schoolyard-style burns with musical accompaniment and Colbert as his extremely excited hype man.

This isn't the first time Cuban has weighed in on this election, but it appears that his sympathy for Trump has dwindled to an all-time low, enough for him to finally, uh, take the gloves off.

In a normal presidential election, a bit like this wouldn't really work, but it's a possibly effective way of mocking Trump, since he has a history of delivering his own brand of taunts and insults (although he hasn't really mastered the setup-punchline structure being demonstrated here). Will Trump respond with some insults of his own, possibly with Scott Baio serving as his Colbert-like sidekick? Only time will tell.
